In the last few decades beer became really popular. Not only among men, but also among women. As the consumption of the beer is growing, so is the variety of types and styles. Which is good news for beer lovers. Some of them love old tastes, some like to try something new. Well why not, give it a shot. Here we have some unusual suggestions.

1. Tequila beer

Usually people believe that it’s not good idea to mix liquor with beer, mostly because you will get a really bad hangover. Even if you are drinking liquor with beer, the beer should be light. And here we have a great mix, let’s say a magical drink for both tequila and beer lovers. What else could you ask from life if you have a Tequila beer. It is a light beer, gold in color with aroma of tequila. Beer is left for a while in empty tequila barrels to gather tequila flavor. There are now lots of tequila beers on market from which you can choose. The only thing you should “worry” about is the percentage of alcohol, since these beers may contain up 10.7 % of alcohol.

2. Chocolate

If you love dark beer, you obviously realized that dark beer always had that creamy aftertaste. Depending on the type of dark beer, some have resemblance to chocolate and some to coffee. Therefore it is not so surprising that someone came to idea to mix dark beer with chocolate. Beside that we all love chocolate, and chocolate and beer make everything better. There are few types of dark beer, but when it comes to chocolate, it is almost always mixed with stout, beer with 7% or 8% of alcohol. And chocolate mixed with beer is usually dark chocolate with high percentage of cocoa. Some articles even recommend that you should try different types of chocolate with different types of beers. So if you are ready for this combination, let the party start! Another interesting thing is that some researches showed that beer and chocolate can help reduce risk of heart disease. They are also rich with vitamin B, iron and other minerals. Just don’t overstep.

3. Coffee

Beer and coffee have two opposite influences on your body. We all mostly drink coffee in the morning, since coffee increases your energy and helps you start the day. On the other hand, beer obviously slows you down, since beer is a depressant. So image these two amazing drinks, which we all are addicted to, combined in one.

We already said that stout can have that coffee aftertaste, but people from breweries say that roasted barley have almost the same taste as roasted coffee, so it seemed natural to combine them.

The range of tastes is really wide, mostly the type of beer mixed with coffee is stout, but imagination goes further, so there is also coffee ale.

And the range of coffee tastes in beer is expanding, from espresso, cappuccino, to even milk. If you like your coffee with milk, maybe you could have it in beer as well.

Health advice: some say that coffee can protect your liver from alcohol! So what a great combination, after all!
